

I've never run into that issue, but it happens enough that you can find hundreds of posts about it. Reboot your computer if it doesn’t do it by itself (Mandatory) Let your Windows reinstall the basic video driver. Windows will warn you that you are about to uninstall your driver, say YES.

The only real advantage to the remastered versions IMHO, is Bioshock 1 gives a new game plus mode that lets you start a new game with all your stats and items from the previous game once you reach the medical pavilion.

The remastered versions to look better, but not night and day better. You might want to play those instead, if you fear that you might lose your saves again. The original versions of the game come with the remastered version and do not suffer this bug. I hate to suggest it, but you might want to take a breather for a day or two and then start over.
